OUR FOUNDER

Kyle Brown founded KB Performance in April of 2019 while training and competing on the World Cup stage in the sport of Skeleton. Utilizing his experience as a professional athlete and his B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Performance from Springfield College, he decided it was time to bring a whole new training philosophy to the capital region.

Kyle is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) and worked at the #1 rated gym in America, voted by Men’s Health Magazine, Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning for 7 years. Applying functional training into youth, adult, and athlete training programs have shown to be an essential part of reaching the results you are looking for no matter the circumstances.

When Kyle is not coaching, he is training for a shot at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He has been a member of the US National Skeleton Team since 2014 and just missed the 2018 Olympic team. In 2019, Kyle finished on the World Cup Tour ranked 1st in the US and 14th overall in the world.

5 pillars of health

functional training

A whole-body workout that targets all muscle groups with a blend of using the equipment, your body weight, and cardio exercises. Each session will progress through a full range of motion exercises within a set of activities that are designed to exercise the body as a whole and enhance your strength, heart, range of motion, and flexibility.

5 PILLARS OF HEALTH

The 5 Pillars of Health is our Co-Founder’s (Peter Jennings) approach to achieving your ideal weight, thriving in life, and living fit. It was created after years of researching and studying every major and minor diet, lifestyle, and philosophy on how to lose weight, live fit, and grow young. Based on the book LIVE-IT! 180, written by Peter Jennings, the 5 Pillars of Health are interrelated and critical for everyone to live healthily and perform better. You can not just diet without exercise, and you can’t just exercise without being concern about what you eat, or how you sleep, or recovery from the effects of life on your body. By incorporating all 5 Pillars of Health into your daily living and lifestyle, attaining your ideal weight, thriving in life, and living fit can be possible. The 5 Pillars of Health are:

Our body’s batteries need to be recharged every night. By design, our body requires a minimum of 7.5 hours of sleep a night. Failure to achieve this can cause issues on every level of your life, health, and overall body.

Having your batteries recharged and fuel in the tank does us no good unless we move (use/exercise) our bodies. A regular movement that challenges our overall body, heart, lymphatic system, muscles, etc. is an absolute must if living at your ideal weight, thriving in life, and being fit is important to you.

Our Intelligent Designed vehicle we call our body, can not run on empty. The food (Fuel) we eat every day determines our overall health, energy, repairability, and survival. It matters what we eat when we eat, and the quality of the fuel we consume.

Looking, great, feeling rested, all fueled up and ready to go is only part of a healthy lifestyle. Having a purpose and being socially connected is how we were designed to live. What good does it do to have a vehicle, but nowhere to go? Having a purpose in life is critical to living healthy and happy.

Life can be tough, and our bodies take the brunt of it all. From structural stress, physical stress, and mental stress, our bodies are beaten up every day. Stress on the body is like the plaque on your teeth if left alone and it builds up you can get “cavities” in your muscles and overall health. Repair is designed to remove the effects of life off your body. Just like your car needs regular maintenance, so does your perfectly designed body.
